An ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) is the eight-digit code that identifies a journal. Indexing databases, libraries and many funders expect a journal to have one. The print and online versions of a journal each need their own number.
How we help
- Checking that your journal is eligible and which ISSN centre to apply to
- Preparing the application and the supporting documents the centre asks for
- Making sure the title, publisher details and website match across the application
- Showing the ISSN correctly on the journal website and on each issue
In Nigeria, ISSNs are issued by the National Library of Nigeria. Journals in countries without a national centre apply to the ISSN International Centre in Paris.
Send us your journal's details and we will tell you what the application needs.
