Some journals publish good research but struggle to attract submissions, get indexed or be found online. ISPHE reviews how a journal works and how it presents itself, then gives the editors a practical list of changes to make.
What the review looks at
- The website, author guidelines and published policies
- Article metadata, and how Google Scholar and search engines pick it up
- Peer review turnaround times
- Readiness for indexing in databases such as DOAJ, Scopus and African Journals Online (AJOL)
- Consistency of formatting, references and licensing information
You receive a written report with recommendations in order of priority. Our team can then help you carry them out.
